War Without Mercy

Chapters one and four in Dowers War Without Mercy do an excellent job demonstrating how narrow minded the United States chamberpot be. With public support being a necessity to admit a war as fully consuming as WWII, the U.S plan to justify record breaking slaughter was to dehumanize everyone they were legally allowed to kill, and concentrate those they would have preferred to kill. Government bring forth dehumanization was visible through Executive Order 9066 authorizing the resettlement of Foreign Enemies to internment camps, camps that were discrepant in name and standardised of living but comparable in spirit to the national socialist Concentration Camps.
