The first character I will tone at is Darry Curtis. He is the oldest if the three brothers. After the boys parents died in a tragic he takes parent role of the house. He work both jobs and has to support the family. Often Ponyboy thinks that Darry is yelling at him or is disappointed in him. But Ponyboy doesnt understand that Darry is just unbalanced for Ponyboy and hopes that he go farther than Darry could. Darry was a sports star and got sensitive grades in work. He would have loved to go to collage, only if the money wasnt there and Darry couldnt go. He took a summer pack at the Y and learned gymnastics tricks that could used in fights.
The three boys are part of a gang mobilizeed the Greasers because of their buttery hair. To the boys the greaser are their family. Darry is worry the unofficial leader. The other members call him Superman. He is probably the bigest greaser as well.
Darry like Sodapop has to work. The two boys have to bring in the money for the house.

Sodapop is the second oldest brother. He dropped out of school have way through high school. He wasnt as good with grades and school as Darry and Ponyboy were. Sodapop had a girlfriend named Sandy. intimately girls were afraid of the greasers. It was rare to be a greaser and have a good girlfriend. Sodapop was lucky. He had been with her for a while and authentically loved her. He was going to propose to her.
