Dear Office of Student Financial Assistance: I am appealing my financial aid denial experimental condition because of difficulty completing my courses. Spring of 2010 was my first semester at Purdue University. The start Year Engineering Program was very different from my semester at Ivy Tech Bloomington and therefore was very difficult for me. As my college career moved forward I encountered more problems, I was contriveing 25+ hours a week to pay for breathing expenses while in the FYE design, which I now know was a mistake due to my poor grades. Without financial aid I will not be able to take the courses I need to stay at Purdue University. The steps I am going to take to assure successful academic pass on in the future: 1. Cut back on my work hours so that I may have more m to use up. 2. Obtain a tutor for Calculus and Physics courses, which I find most difficult. 3. Go to the instrumentd office hours when I begin to have trouble with the material. 4. Develop a birth with some students so we can form a study group. 5. Talk with an academic advisor to take the correct classes so I may have my grade point average to where I designate it should be. 6. Go to class on time as scheduled.

I believe that I was letting work get in the way of school, also I did not enjoy the FYE program because I knew I was doing poorly. This was affecting my confidence greatly, which is why I decided to seek a degree in atmospheric science/Meteorology. This is something I have always enjoyed so I believe it is going to make me want to complete my degree. I have talked with my Engineering advisor. He is aware of my situation to CODO into this program. Also, I have spoken with the Undergraduate Counselor for the Department of globe and Atmospheric Science. She has shown me what I need to take to get my GPA above 2.0 to CODO also she has given me a good schedule for me to take for the next year.
