Starting in 1830 Darwin took a trip around Peru to intoxicate specimens for his study on evolution. His theory on evolution did not agree with the teachings of the church and the understanding of science at the contemporary time. Richard Owen was Darwins biggest competitor. Owen was the top skeleton specialists of the time and did not like Darwins theory of evolution.
