A Contextual Analysis of “Words I ne'er state” by Lupe Fiasco “Words I Never tell” is the second single released from Lupe Fiasco’s third record album Lasers. This single was released on February 8th, 2011 for online download. “Words I Never Said” is a very informative and somewhat opinionated song. through and through his lyrics, Lupe Fiasco is assay to speak give away to the people and allow them know what is very going on in the valet and how they should pay attention because they play a huge wear in it. The lyrics refer to multiple socioeconomic and controversial political topics. He talks about the corruption within the creation and how we all see it and yet no one speaks out against it. Lupe writes about the state of war on terror, the media, and the silence in the people. In the chorus “It's so loud inside my head with speech that I should have said. As I drown in my regrets, I can't take back the words I never said” Lupe is saying how he regrets non speaking his mind earlier, and that all these thoughts he has kept in his mind are eating him alive, so he at long last expresses all of them in this song. In the first verse, Lupe writes the lyrics “I real think the war on terror is a draw of bullshit. Just a poor excuse for you to use up all your bullets. How much money does it take to really set about a full break off? 9/11, building 7, did they really pull it? Uh, And a bunch of other cover-ups”. In these lyrics Lupe is trying to express his anti-war feelings.
