When first thinking about a take for a social unit plan I was in need of a government issue that was raise for me and my students. I wanted to find something that was pastime for me to teach and fun for them to learn. I needed a topic that they would want to talk about several times closing curtain-to-end the week and something that they wanted to know more about. Living in Florida, we have so many different attractions in our backyard. I wanted the students to have a real life recognise with the topic and plan on a region lurch at the end of the unit lesson. I started looking at the third set up standards and thinking about a field trip that could meet some of the standards. At first I thought about the solar system and taking the students to Kennedy distance Center for the day. But that is such a large topic the students may not be as interested in all told of the parts of the solar system as I want and I decided that it would be best to excerption another topic. After looking through the 3rd grade standards I thought of the perfect topic. I plan on doing this unit lesson on upkeep organisms with specific details to animals. though this is a huge topic I decided that the unit plan would focus more on animals and their class. This topic is interesting for 3rd grade students due to the fact that animals are all around us.

Animals are appealing to all people and students. I figured that we would plan a trip to Busch Gardens at the end of this lesson because thither are several different types of animals that the students could observe. The topic of living organisms more specifically animals can be taught across the course of study and meet standards in Social Studies, Mathematics, Science, and Language Arts. According to the 3rd grade math standards perimeter, size, mass, and time are all things that could be incorporated into the unit lesson on living organisms.
